confessions of a shutter girl

Thanks for popping by and checking out my not-at-all top secret photojournal!  Here you'll discover lots of different images featuring the many wonderful people, places, and things I am lucky enough to document.  As my photography journey unfolds, I am finding more delight in the unexpected and embracing my role as a storyteller.  This blog is still under construction so please excuse the dust until it is all finalized.  Meanwhile, please visit often and leave a comment---I love those!

upchurch family – ormond beach family photography

The beach was so incredibly windy that we opted for this family’s lovely front/backyards. It ended up being the perfect place for some fun family shots! Little Miss A was quite the poser, whereas we had to definitely wrangle her younger brother. All and all, it ended up working out great. We will make the beach work next time, though!

lauren senior session

I can’t seem to catch up with time. Lauren has been having a great time her senior year with involvement in Juniorettes, Leadership Club, and the Renaissance Club. Fun events like the Juniorette Lip Sync, Senior Recognition Night, and recently the DeLand High Senior Prom have made this year super memorable for her. Now she’s very excited to head off to Florida Gulf Coast University in Ft. Myers, where she plans to major in Hospitality Management with a focus on Event Planning! We had an awesome time in Flagler that day, and I certainly hope it was one of the memories she’ll take away from her senior year. Go get ‘um, Lauren! The world is your oyster.

kaitlin – senior minis

I guess this will give you some indication as to how behind I am on blogging! Kaitlin’s senior mini session was really all about getting some fun shots for sorority recruitment. Well, now she’s into her second semester at University of Florida. She ending up pledging ZTA and is having a great time in college! Honestly, photographing her was a breeze—she was a super sweet and laid back girl. I wish her all the luck in the world in spite of her college choice! (Just kidding, sort of) Go Noles, oops, I mean, go Kaitlin! I hope you enjoy college because it goes by too darn fast. One minute you’re thinking “wow I’ve got four years here” and the next you’re picking up your cap & gown while trying to figure out how you can TP the SAE lion before you officially graduate.
